Its important to spend time in daily reflection, but there’s something about the end of the year that serves as a catalyst for deeper reflection. You assess where you are currently compared to where you started at the beginning of the year and you are able to gain a better view of the trajectory of your life. If you are serious about personal growth, you begin to think about the improvements you need to make to become better. As I reflect on this year, I’ve had my share of triumphs, my share of challenges and my share of trials that I really had to say to God, how strong do you think I am—this load is too much. But in spite of it all, I can truly say it was a great year, because I have grown in so many areas. I became the the best version of myself because I made a decision to be better than the person I was the day before.
As you set your resolutions and goals for 2019, I encourage you to share your desires with God and only seek to better than the person YOU were the day before. The small decisions you make on a daily basis will add up and eventually you will see the results.
