Recently, I was asked a simple, yet thought provoking question: Do you think success and happiness are the same? 

I often use my commute time to read, catch up on conversations, check emails and sometimes just think. Today as I traveled in to Grand Central Station, I found myself looking around at everyone on the Metro North commuter train and wondered where everyone was going and what they actually did.

Trust.

It’s one of those character traits that we never fully understand the value until it has been broken. It’s also a trait that when we fully understand the value, it will lead us to live a bold and confident life. 

Growing up, I’ve always heard my grandmother say: “Trust God, Trust God.”

I woke up feeling a mixture of emotions. Suddenly, there was a scripture that laid heavily on my mind:

Today as I was thinking about what I wanted to share, someone shared a message with me. It was exactly what I needed in the moment and it made me realize that while it’s good to pour into others, it’s equally as important to be poured into. Surround yourself with people  that can pour positivity in your soul, send good vibes your way  and hold you accountable for growth.

Have you ever been asked: what’s your favorite season?  Mine is Spring. I really like Spring because the weather begins to get warm and the trees and flowers start to bloom and the birds begin to sing. Spring is a sign of new birth!

What if you actually decided to step out on faith and do that thing that keeps you up at night? You know, that business idea you want to launch or that job you really want or that person you know you should connect with or that goal you want to achieve.

During my commute this morning I was blessed to hear beautiful music. It was a greater blessing to look up and see who was playing.
